One address, read by the person who builds the site. Corrections are the most welcome kind of message here — if a number disagrees with the water, we want to know before the next person reads it.
Typically answered within a few business days. There is no phone line and no contact form: one address that is genuinely read beats three that are not.
What to include, by subject
- A number here is wrong
- The single most useful message we get. Send the spot page, the value you saw here and the value you saw at the source or at the beach. Readings carry their station and timestamp for exactly this reason — include them and the check takes minutes.
- A spot is matched to the wrong station
- A buoy in the wrong swell window makes an otherwise perfect page useless. If you surf a break and know which buoy actually calls it, that knowledge is worth more than any algorithm, and it fixes the page for everyone reading it.
- You operate a surf cam
- Whether you want an embed removed, replaced with a plain link, or added because you would like the traffic — same address, and it gets handled without paperwork. The rule we work to is on the copyright page.
- A missing spot
- Tell us the break and the nearest buoy or tide station you would trust for it. Spots are added where a real station can carry the report; where none can, we would rather have no page than a fabricated one.
- Accessibility
- Include the page, what you were trying to do, and your browser plus assistive technology. Response targets are on the accessibility page.
- Privacy requests
- Access, deletion, correction or an opt-out under US state law or the GDPR. Say which right you are exercising; deadlines and the process are in the privacy policy.
- Copyright and legal notices
- Formal notices reach us at the same address, and by post at the address below. The required contents of a takedown notice are listed on the copyright page.
- Press and partnerships
- Interview requests and data questions are welcome. Sponsored articles, paid links and paid spot placement are not — that is settled on the advertising page and is not negotiable.

If your question is whether it is safe to paddle out today, we are the wrong address — nobody watches these pages in real time. Follow the National Weather Service for warnings, and the lifeguards on the beach for everything else. The safety disclaimer explains what this site can and cannot tell you.
