Every spot page carries the same four things in one place: what the buoys read right now, what the model says for the next days, how warm the water is, and what the beach conditions are. Each number names the station it came from and the time it was taken.

Where the numbers come from

NDBC buoys: Wave height, period and direction, measured offshore in near real time.
WaveWatch III: NOAA's wave model, for the days ahead. Marked as a model, never as a reading.
CO-OPS: Tide predictions and water temperature from NOAA's tide stations.
NWS: Wind, weather and the surf zone forecast that carries rip current risk.

When a buoy goes offline, the page says so and the model value is labelled model only. A gap is more useful than a plausible number.

What wetsuit for this water?

Every spot page carries the suit recommendation for the temperature its buoy measured this morning. The full thickness chart works from any temperature — and says plainly what it leaves out, because wind and session length change the answer more than a millimetre of neoprene does.
